Bird feeder
Another camp project, what cute bird feeders my kids crafted.
I love these crafts my kids are doing. I did the same as a kid. It seems that nowadays crafts aren't emphasized and technology is in the forefront of my kid's lives and it is nice to see them doing something I did as a kid which was not play video games/ ipod/ texting/ watching on-demand cable TV!
Fort fun and spend the night
Dev went to his best friend Xavier Davis' house yesterday and had a sleepover. They had a huge fort in the family room and watched power rangers circa 1995.
Dev loves Xavier and Jocelyn and Doritos (lol!)
Like my hair?
Gary is totally getting a hair cut since he can make his hair into a fro-hawk.

A super man
Gary got some fathers day loot from us today. He is sporting a new super man shirt. He is so super!
The kids gave him some cool father's day gifts made with love from camp.
I love these gifts. Cay put the magnets inside this box. Very awesome!
We had some friends over for a BBQ. The kids played in the sprinkler in the backyard.
Check out Devan's cute shorts made with love by Nana Gunderson. He loves them!

Daddy-O
Happy Father's Day to my dad!
My dad usually gets a hand-made gift for Father's Day (along with a giftcard for some electronic gadgety thing). Previously, I made him this altered paint can and filled it with goodies. It was a couple of years ago. It now sits on the counter (always with something yummy in it!). Very sweet for my dad to keep it around!

Did you see my dad in the background of the first picture? I totally took his picture secretly. He never smiles in pictures anyway, it is the running joke in our family. He does have a great smile, you just can't get him to do it when taking a picture.
I hope my dad has a great relaxing day doing one of his favorite things: watching golf.

Lily
Our Lily-pad, Lily-pat (Dev's name), pretty cat, silly lily. You are in heaven and running with Jesus. We miss you, rest in peace.
You were a strong mouser and fast even with 3 legs.
You meowed a lot.
You were loving.
You would sleep with us.
You loved being scratched on your neck.
You had a lot of hiding spots: our closet, cays couch, Devan's bed (blending in with the stuffed animals).
You were very playful with strings and any toy you could get your hand on.
Outside you loved our purple flower hedge where you passed away.
You were special and loved by us.

Enjoying outside-kid free
The kids are inside watching TV together, and Gary and I are outside sitting on the patio soaking up the clear sunny day. It has been windy here, so much so that people have been so sick with allergies and miserable. We had to have a toast to a nice clear end of day with our favorite dinner- sandwiches!
Run/ rollerblade
Gary and I went on a run/ rollerblade today even though we were exhausted from yesterday. It was so great today. The way the sun was reflecting off the water, looked like sparkling diamonds. It was so clear out, you could see Mt. Diablo in the distance.
Even though my whole body was achy, the run/ rollerblade was totally worth it!
Rest home mission
Cay, Dev, and I started a group at church that does outreach at Rest homes or as I like to call them Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF). We go and usually do a craft or pass out cards. The cards are fun and I am getting a group together to make some for donation. The cards always have on the envelope 'To someone special' and an inspirational bible verse inside as well as stickers or an interesting question. Check it out:
Dev was a total crack-up! Just the way he interacts with the women there was hilarious! The ladies were cracking jokes and having a good time. We can't wait to go back there.
Vacuuming
So, Devan has a mascot phobia, food phobia (unless it's McDonald's), and a vacuum phobia. Here is Gary vacuuming and threatening to vacuum up Dev's toys. He doesn't help with the fear of the vacuum. I can't help but laugh...Dev doesn't look too emotionally scarred right?
Very silly! Little does Devan know that he will need to get over his vacuum phobia and learn how to vacuum soon! ;-)
Breakfast...
with The Vincents. Not many more meals with friends that are moving away! :( We had a nice breakfast today.
Some friend's of ours introduced us to a great breakfast place called, 'The Avenue Grill.' We love it, and their breakfasts are so yummy!
