Visiting great grandma

We visited great grandma on 5/19/12.  She was loving Devan! He took her picture (the last one). We had a great time visiting!

Me????? NO!

My friend Sonia dropped off this fantastic (UGH!) picture that was obviously a photography assignment in  college.  It was taken June 1992.

Where do I start?  With the extremely long hair? I look like a hippy!  Sad thing is my hair hasn't changed much!!!!  OMG!  Look at my shorts and those shoes (dress shoes with white socks???!!!).   My kids keep fighting over the picture and here is a conversation we are having on the drive home from camp:

Cay:  Were you and Daddy dating when the picture was taken?
Me: Yes
Dev: Dating means having dinner...

Cay and I cracking up and Dev joining in not knowing what he is laughing at.  It is true when Gary and I go out on a date it is usually for dinner.  So funny!

Other people's pets

My kids give the neighbor's cats more attention...I told them to go home and pet our cats.

Straight A's

Super Cay is awesome! She got her report card in the mail! I am so proud of her! Check out this smart girl.

She has had A's every quarter except the first where she got a B+ in pre Algebra.  She has a 3.96 GPA.  Gary and I are astounded at how awesome she is doing for starting a new school this year and having more than one class on her plate.  I created an My Digital Studio digital scrapbook layout of her school picture.  So I think I am kind of into digital scrapbooking now that I am blogging.

I posted this recently on my other blog.  Check it out here.  She has had an amazing year and I hope she works just as hard for 8th grade.

Six flags

The kids went to six flags today for summer day camp field trip and Dev had a flip out moment when he saw a looney toons mascot.  Thank goodness the Director Leona was there and took good care of him.

"I have a mascot phobia, mommy," is what he has told me before. Yes you do son.

He looks like he is having fun here though. He does like rides.

Overall Dev had a great day and fell asleep on the bus. Leona sent the picture to me saying that Dev was "down for the count."

Cay of course was too busy riding rollercoasters to snap any pictures with her phone.  She is such a middle schooler!  Lol!

Our family

I couldn't resist starting a family blog.  I just started a blog with my sister and now I am addicted!  We have a crafting blog together called www.teehee4two.blogspot.com.  But I wanted just something to show off goofy pictures and our little family story.  I am terrible at scrapbooking (even though I love to paper craft), my pictures are still in the camera or disorganized in large bins, and I just don't want to have a facebook page to document my family life.  By the time anyone has read this, I will likely change my mind and be doing at least one or all of the above.

Here is my little family:

We have a few cats too.  This picture was taken at my parents house in their front yard on Thanksgiving 2011.  Look at those cute kids and dashing husband!  I am one lucky gal!
